Kick Off Party @ Mosaic Nightclub & Lounge, Friday July 1st!

We would like to announce that the Official NABC 2011 Youth Kick Off Party will be held at Mosaic Nightclub & Lounge!

This is a 21+ event, with an entrance fee of $12.  All proceeds will go to charity:water!  Come kick-off the much anticipated weekend with other young Bengalis at one of Baltimore's best clubs with these exclusive drink specials:

9 PM-11 PM: $2 Domestic Drafts & Rail Drinks, $3 Call Drinks

11 PM-12 AM: Buy One Get One FREE Drinks (Rails and Domestic Beers)

Mosaic is located at 4 Market Place, Baltimore, MD 21202...Just a few blocks from the Baltimore Convention Center (BCC)! But you don't even have to worry about that because we'll be providing free shuttle service from BCC to Mosaic and back from 10:30 PM to 2:30 AM! If you'd like to get there earlier for the drink specials, there's always the free Charm City Circulator too! Just hop on the Orange Line at Stop 219, across from BCC, and take it 3 stops over to Stop 222 at Market Place!

No registration necessary, just show up! Dress code is Lounge Attire (No boots, athletic wear or open-toed shoes). Mention our special code (TBA) at the door to get access to the drink specials!

Want to be involved in NABC 2011?

One great way to be apart of NABC 2011 is to participate in the Youth Cultural Show.

This year, the youth cultural program will be taking place on the main stage, so that the entire convention will be able to see your talents.  If you sing, dance, read poetry, or do any other kind of performance art, we want to see what you can do!

SUBMISSION CRITERIA:

·        Your act must include a minimum of three people.

·        The maximum time for an act is 5-6 minutes. We cannot accommodate acts that are longer due to time constraints.

·        Your submission should be no longer than 5 minutes long, and as recently recorded as possible.

·        Upload your submissions to Youtube, and email the link to nabcyouth2011@gmail.com. If you do not have a Youtube account, you can log in with your Google ID or create a new account.

·        Be sure to include your name and age and the names and ages of ALL team members in the body of the email. All team members do not have to be in the video, but as many as possible will give us a better idea of your act.

*Note: even if you are not chosen to perform on the main stage, keep in mind that you will have other opportunities to perform during the weekend, including our open-mic sessions and the youth talent show.

DEADLINE:

All submissions are due on FRIDAY June 3, 2011, by 11:59PM. No late submissions will be accepted.

We are selling t-shirts and they are awesome!  Here is a photo of Kabir holding one up!

The front features the face of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, a major Bengali revolutionary and freedom fighter.  The back reads (in Bengali script) "Jodi thor dak shune keo na ashe/Tobe akla cholo re"--a line from the popular Tagore song.  Represent your cultural heritage, while supporting NABC Youth 2011!
